Kamila Waleszkiewicz is a Visual Artist and Author with over 24 years of experience and organiser known for her contributions to the local arts community in Australia, particularly through her role in the Call and Response "Conversations" project at the Inglewood Arts Hub and creation of Art Conversations WA collective. With a background that emphasizes inclusivity and community engagement, Kamila has dedicated her efforts to fostering artistic collaboration among local artists. Her work often involves creating platforms for artists to explore their creativity through various mediums, including painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, and textile art. Kamila's commitment to community involvement is evident in her approach to artmaking, where she believes in the importance of supporting one another and sharing experiences. Her initiatives not only promote artistic expression but also help build lasting relationships among artists, contributing to a vibrant and inclusive arts culture. In addition to her organizational work, Kamila conducts interviews with participating artists, providing insights into their creative processes and the impact of collaborative projects on their artistic journeys. Through these efforts, she continues to inspire others while advocating for a more connected and supportive arts community.

Created the term opto-dyslexia and organised a social campaign Take Your Dyslexic Child to an Optometrist or an Eye Specialist to raise awareness about visual-related learning difficulties.
Developed and coordinated The Dragon Lolo Initiative, an international online project for Polish bilingual children living abroad during the COVID-19 pandemic, providing free language-learning resources and cultural engagement activities.
